About Us
Who We Are & What We Stand For...
The Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC) has been setting the standards for quality home care services since 1986.
Â
CAHC is proud to be dedicated to home care providers in delivering the highest standard of service to our local communities and families.
Â
We bring in-depth knowledge of state legislation, rules and regulations, and share ongoing collaborative relationships with state home care governance authorities. Our families and friends count on CAHC for its seal of approval when they choose a home care provider. Our goal is to help your agency meet and maintain industry standards and best practices. We’re focused on helping you succeed rather than just uncovering deficiencies.

Our Registered Nurse Field Surveyors are an essential part of the CAHC team. Each CAHC surveyor is a State registered nurse with hands-on experience in home care. They are knowledgeable about the issues that home care agencies face every day and will work closely with providers throughout the accreditation process.
Every member of the CAHC team has a role in helping providers to understand, achieve, and maintain compliance with the Standards through self-evaluation, consultation, and ongoing educational support. We encourage you to contact us any time you have a question or concern about the process.
